Abstract

Presents discussions, conclusions and recommendations of an API workshop for identification of technologies for potential use in treatment of produced water toxicity offshore. Included are background information on candidate technologies, produced water toxicity limitations, characteristics and composition, results of toxicity identification evaluations and a discussion of engineering restrictions imposed by offshore platforms.
