Abstract

Describes an agreed best practice approach for local and central government, professionals (planners, engineers, hydrologists, scientists, risk managers, lawyers and so on), developers, utility suppliers, property owners, and communities to ensure that proper consideration is given to all aspects of flood risk when making decisions, so that over the longer term, the risk of flood damage decreases.
