Scope

This Standard provides a guide to the features and typical characteristics that are expected of a solvent-borne metal primer when applied by brush, roller or spray in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints covered by this Standard are classified as paint Type B11 of AS/NZS 2311. They are used to provide anti-corrosive properties and adhesion for subsequent coatings on prepared iron and steel.
