Abstract

Sets out minimum requirements for the manufacture of nailplate-joined timber products. The Standard covers raw material requirements, manufacturing requirements, product assessment, and product identification. It does not cover requirements for the manufacture of nailplated timber trusses. Appendices provide types of nailplate-joined timber and some examples of manufacturing defects.

Scope

This Standard sets minimum requirements for manufacturing specifications applicable to nailplate-joined timber products.
This Standard covers raw material requirements, manufacturing requirements, product assessment, and product identification.
NOTES:
1 This Standard does not cover the assigning of structural properties for design purpose.
2 This Standard does not cover requirements for the manufacture of nailplated timber trusses.
