This Standard sets out two procedures for the determination of the wet film thickness of paint and related materials on smooth, rigid surfaces using a wheel gauge or a comb gauge.
The comb gauge may be used for quality control purposes for an approximate indication of wet film thickness when a coating is applied as specified.
