Abstract

This Standard sets out methods for determining the performance of devices intended to prevent the risk of injury and death associated with accidental falls through open windows by children five years old and younger.

Scope

This Standard sets out methods for determining the performance of a barrier screen and a restricted window opening to a level of force specified in the National Construction Code (NCC) for the protection of openable windows.
