Abstract

Specifies a method for the measurement of sub-critical flow in small rivers and artificial channels using V-shaped broad-crested weirs. It is technically identical with and reproduced from ISO 8333:1985.

Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for the measurement of subcritical flow in small rivers and artificial channels using V-shaped broad-crested weirs.
The advantages of this type of weir are described in clause 8.
NOTE û A comparison of the different types of weirs and flumes will form the subject of a future International Standard.
