Abstract

Gives a simple example of verification and validation (V&V) to illustrate some of the key concepts and procedures presented in V&V 10. The example is an elastic, tapered, cantilever, box beam under nonuniform static loading. The validation problem entails a uniform loading over half the length of the beam.
