Abstract

1 This specification covers acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) pipe produced by single extrusion in standard thermoplastic pipe dimension ratios and pressure rated for water (see Appendix X1). Included are criteria for classifying ABS plastic pipe materials and ABS plastic pipe, a system of nomenclature for ABS plastic pipe, and requirements and test methods for materials, workmanship, dimensions, sustained pressure, burst pressure, and extrusion quality.
