Abstract

Provides requirements for non-powered stairs, stepladders and guard-rails which are a part of a stationary machine, and to the non-powered adjustable parts (e.g. foldable, slidable) and movable parts of those fixed means of access. Together with BS 4592-0(2006), BS EN ISO 14122-1, BS EN ISO 14122-2, BS EN ISO 14122-4 & BS 4592-4(2006), it supersedes BS 4592-4(1992). Together with BS 4592-0(2006), BS EN ISO 14122-1, BS EN ISO 14122-2, BS EN ISO 14122-4 & BS 4211(2005), it supersedes BS 5395-3(1985) which remains current. Together with BS 4592-0(2006), BS EN ISO 14122-1, BS EN ISO 14122-2, BS EN ISO 14122-4 & BS 4592-5(2006), it supersedes BS 4592-5(1995).
