Abstract

Defines requirements for measuring the thermal efficiency, electric power consumption, and power factor of gas-fired unit heaters with a maximum input rate of 2931 kW (10000000 Btu/h) or less (including utility heaters with a maximum input rate of 117.2 kW [400000 Btu/h] or less) constructed of unused parts and materials, for use with: - natural gas with an inlet pressure of 34.5 kPa (5.0 psi) or less; - manufactured gas; - mixed gas; - liquefied petroleum gases; and - liquefied petroleum gas-air mixtures.
