Abstract

Covers ballasts for use on ac supplies up to 1,000 V at 50 or 60 Hz (excluding resistance types). Ballasts are associated with tubular fluorescent lamps without or with preheated cathodes, for operation without or with a starter/starting device. This is applicable to complete ballasts and components, including capacitors, reactors and transformers.
