Abstract

Describes procedures and protocol elements for tunnelling of IMS traffic over restrictive access networks, specifically procedures and protocol elements for establishing, maintaining, and sending traffic via a firewall traversal tunnel between the UE and an enhanced firewall traversal function (EFTF) in the network.
