Abstract

This standard describes point-to-point Short Message Service (SMS) of the GMR-1 Mobile Satellite System and defines the services and service elements, the network architecture, the Service Centre functionality, the MSC functionality (with regard to SMS), the routing requirements and the protocols and protocol layering.
