Abstract

Defines Stage 2 of the subscriber data management handling between the Home Location Register (HLR) and the Visitor Location Register (VLR). Only the rules for the updating of subscriber data from the HLR to the VLR are described in this specification. Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) specific and Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) subscriber data are not within the scope of this specification. V5.3.0: Covers VLR behaviour when receiving subscriber data after HLR restoration.
