Abstract

Specifies the service requirements for the Digital Advanced Wireless Service (DAWS) Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. It provides a conceptual architecture useful for specifying service requirements but is not intended to imply a particular implementation. It contains preliminary MAC protocol requirements which will be moved into the formal MAC protocol specification document (Part 5) when it is drafted.
