Specifies the technical characteristics to be provided by terminal equipment which is capable of connection to a public telecommunications network and which uses DECT cordless communications for network access. Also gives the essential requirements on user safety with regard to electromagnetic field exposure. This issue is to update TBR 6 based on EN 300 176-1 which adds optional 4-level and 8-level modulation schemes to provide 2Mbit/s services.
