Abstract

The GSM PLMN supports a wide range of voice and non-voice services in the same network. In order to enable non-voice traffic in the GSM PLMN there is a need to connect various kinds of terminal equipments to the Mobile Station (MS). This standard describes the functionality of a MS supporting GPRS, including the protocols and signalling needed to support the first phase of GPRS, as defined in GSM 02.60 and 03.60 (packet based services).
