Abstract

Defines safety requirements for ballasts, excluding resistance types used on a.c. supplies up to 1000 V at 50 or 60 Hz, in connection with fluorescent lamps with or without preheated cathodes operated with or without a starting device and having rated dimensions, wattages and characteristics as described in IEC 60081 and IEC 60901.
